Recently stumbled upon a professional artist's work. She mostly sketches dogs in graphite as well in color (using color pencils) and her work is so damn brilliant, it just left me mesmerized and inspired me to try sketch a doggy... although I really couldn't create that magic... am glad I tried. Picked the reference for this one from one of my wallpaper collections. Have been sketching only portraits from quite some time.. for a change chose this cute lil girl.
Had screwed up nandu's first sketch big time ;) ... so waited for the rite time to sketch her for the second time... today being her birthday, got her new skecth framed neatly n presented it to her... :) m glad she liked it... :)
Was going through my earlier sketches... Impa's sketch was officially my first sketch... somehow felt I should give it a second try n see how it would come out now... well!! ;) how's it now sis??

Some of my dear friends kept saying I always pick up sad n distressed ref photos... :) so for all of them here is something you'll like... picked this one cause the cute little girl really made me want to sketch her down...
Almost two weeks... my hands were literally itching to scribble something... the very thought that I can sketch something today kept me all excited from morning... had picked up the ref to this one a few days before...somehow felt this has to be my next one... :) took almost 3 hours to complete n well.. they were my most satisfying hours from past two weeks ;)

sometimes you tend to do things or choose things according to your mood... It was as though the photo was screaming back at me to bring it down on paper when I first set my eyes on this one.... as a solace to my foul mood... here it is... and the best part is, by the time I was giving it the final touches, it had cheered me back up :) someone had once said this..." Nothing stays on for long. Success and Failure, Happiness and Killjoy, Love and Hate.. They all are temporary."
wanted to sketch something really Indian from a long time.... I somehow stumbled upon a collection of bridal jewelery photos... found reference for this one really appealing... n challenging at the same time with all those jewels... so gave it a try... n it worked :) this one took a lot of time, may be the highest till now...
Could not stop myself from scribbling after a gap of almost a week... every day I went to bed with a concious nag in my head that I could not sketch anything even today... but today I finally managed to do it.... found this one in a magazine as an advertisement for BMAC studio... have'nt heard bout it... but the image did catch my interest... so here it is on paper after two and half hours of effort....
Picked this one randomly from our Madkeri trip photos... guys I hope u wont mind.. pardon me if there are some mistakes :) Although it does look like Manish, Gautham and Darshan... :p
